Account Handler

We are currently seeking an experienced Account Handler for one of our clients based in Glasgow.

To provide insurance solutions to our customers dealing with new accounts, solving issues concerning commercial corporate risk.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • To provide insurance solutions to our customers in a timely and effective manner.
  • Dealing with new business accounts, solving issues concerning commercial corporate risk.
  • Occasionally required to visit clients, dealing with the day to day handling of accounts and any queries.
  • No sales involved within this role, working of a list of warm contacts
  • Utilise communication and negotiation techniques to explain the features and benefits of our products, to internal and external customers. Develop internal awareness and opportunity to generate business.
  • Acquire, maintain and record an accurate level of appropriate product and regulatory knowledge and skill as is appropriate for the role.
  • Ensure that all statutory and company regulations are followed to protect clients, colleagues and the business interests of the company.

To succeed in this role, your skills and experience will include:

  • Adhere to the contents of the Operating Procedure Manual and Business Unit Supplemental Operating Procedure Manual at all times.
  • Ensure that all customer communications adhere to agreed service levels, within TCF parameters and to quality standards.
  • Utilise communication and negotiation techniques to explain the features and benefits of our products, to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer contact and divisional leaders to benchmark customer communication documentation.
